The Basic Breech Guide

Here is your pocket manual for deciding on which breech is best for you. This is an on going topic for The Frugal Rhode, so don’t fret if the brand you’ve been waiting for isn’t here. Instead, click on Contact Us to suggest a breech for next time!

Over the past two months, we have been collecting, reflecting, and evaluating to bring you, our readers, the best selection of quality breeches we have initially found on the market. Companies such as Romfh, Aztec, and Smartpak ended up on this fabulous list! We have ranked and graded 8 brands to help you get a clear idea of what you get when you buy. The color coding is self explanatory: green is for high marks, orange is for middle rate marks, and red is for low marks. We will start with our least favorites and move on from there. Our overall score for each item is listed under over all in yellow or blue! Click the title links to get the full review of each breech.

Please note: Lily is 5’6″ and a true 26 breech. Kait is 5’3″ and a slightly curvy 24 putting her between sizes at times.

BEST. POST. EVER. I ordered some Sarafinas thanks to this post and I LOVE them!

Can you compare the fit of the Romfh breeches to Aztec Diamond? I wear a 26 in the Sarafinas and I’m super confused by the AD sizing guide.

I am so happy to hear that!! Compared to the Sarafina breeches, Aztec rides a little lower and does have a looser waistband! Other than that, the fit is very similar! -Kait
