Between dry winter air and working at the barn all day, it is important to treat your skin to a little pampering! Being on Accutane as well, dry skin is already a major issue. Add dry winter air to that mix, and you have yourself quite the issue! That is why I put together a short list of my go to skin care essentials.
First I use the Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser. At only $5.99, it is a wonderful product at an even more wonderful price! This face cleanser is very gentle but it easily removes dirt and makeup. This cleanser would be perfect for all skin types. I used to have very oily skin and it worked perfectly for me then, and it works perfectly with my dry skin now. Another great thing about this cleanser is that you can find it at any drug store. I personally bought mine at Target, but I have seen it in every drug store.
Next I use the Lani Tropical Super Serum. I absolutely love this serum! However, I only use it at night because I find it to make your face a bit shiny. It is formulated with Camellia seed oil to help heal scars, reduce inflammation, and improve elasticity; Marula oil to lock in moisture; Watermelon seed oil to dissolve excess sebum; Passion fruit oil for anti-aging; Jojoba oil for dry skin and balancing oily skin; and Jasmine flower for its regenerative properties. After using this product for a month, I have seen my acne scars fading and my skin quality improving! At a price point of only $20.86, this is an overall great serum. Next I follow up with the lavender and primrose moisturizer from C & Co. Naturals. This is by far the best moisturizer I have ever used! It is light, but moisturizes perfectly. It does not leave you greasy or shiny at all! It soaks into the skin quickly, and has a wonderful, calming scent. I find that it helps calm my irritated skin. The ladies at C & Co. are also wonderful to work with. After I placed my order, I received a personal message through Instagram direct message thanking me for my order. Shipping was very fast, and everything came packaged perfectly. Overall, the C and Co. lavender and primrose moisturizer receives a 11/10 review. It truly changed my skin! But yours for $18 at http://www.candconaturals.com .
Next in my routine I use the bubblegum lip scrub from Lush. I have had this bottle of lip scrub for over two years now and it is STILL going strong. I use it every other night to remove dry skin on my lips. As well as exfoliating, I find that it hydrates your lips as well. This scrub retails for $10.95 and can be found on http://www.lushusa.com
Once in a while I will use the Mario Badescu Whitening Mask to help fade my acne scars. They recommend to use the mask 2-3 times a week. I have only used it two times so far, but I am already seeing AMAZING results. My dark red scars fade each time I use this mask. I also find that my skin feels much more hydrated after I use this mask. One thing I love about this mask is that it takes only 10 minutes to do its job. Making it a quick and easy way to treat your skin. It is well priced at $24 considering how long the jar lasts. Buy yours at http://www.ulta.com .
Next, I follow up with my Coconut Balm Dot Com from http://www.glossier.com . This all purpose salve is an absolute life saver. Dry, cracked lips? Healed instantly. Eczema? Gone. Dry cuticles? moisturized. Under eyes? perfect. This salve will pretty much rescue any dry skin issue. What’s even better is that it comes in multiple scents and super cute packaging. Not to mention that it has super speedy delivery! At only $12 a tube, you can stock up. I’ve had my tube for well over a month now and it is still growing strong.
Last but certainly not least, the bag that holds it all. The Riley Zip Clutch from http://www.breavery.com is the perfect equestrian accessory. This bag is the perfect size to fit all of your skin care necessities for travel. I can even squeeze a shampoo bottle in! I must say, this bag is durable. It have ventured to many friend’s houses, on road trips, on plane rides, and even to the barn on some occasions. Despite all of that travel, there is absolutely no sign of wear. It’s amazing! Bre Avery carries this clutch in a few other equestrian themed patterns, so you are sure to find one that perfectly matched your unique style. At only $25, they are definitely the cutest, biggest, and most affordable clutch in the market. I’m a huge fan!
These are all products that I completely stand by and love. However, my routine is always changing!
